³⁹ When all the people saw what had happened, they fell flat on their faces and cried out “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!”

⁴⁰ But Elijah said, “Arrest the prophets of Baal. Don’t let even one of them get away.” So the people^[a] seized them, and Elijah brought them down to the Wadi^[b] Kishon and executed them there.

The Rain Storm Ends the Drought

⁴¹ After this, Elijah told Ahab, “Get up and have something to eat and drink, because there’s the sound of a coming rainstorm.”
